Welcome!

NENIWO/LAMIFUTHI is a non-profit organization that facilitates direct support of education of orphans in Zimbabwe.

NENIWO/LAMIFUTHI means 'me too' or 'even I'. Neniwo is Shona and Lamifuthi is Ndebele, the two major local languages in Zimbabwe spoken by about 90 % of its population.

When children have lost parents through AIDS or through any other illness, the population at large should not forget that even these children, like any other child, need to go to school. Even they have to be dressed. Even they need food and shelter. NENIWO/LAMIFUTHI are like words coming from these children who are saying to the population at large: even I need food, clothing, shelter and education.

Our goal is to facilitate the sending of as many orphans to school as is possible for more than just a year or two by setting up a system where a specific individual gives educational support to a specific individual child. Children need to go to school and complete at least basic school (primary education) so that they acquire basic numeracy and literacy. It would be even better if we can get children to go to school long enough to be employable or employ themselves.

Help us help the orphans in Zimbabwe.
Every child is entitled to a proper education!
